Midland Yoga Works Teacher Training School
About Midland Yoga Works Teacher Training School
This 200 hour in-depth yoga training offer a uniqued opportunity for students to learn the fundamentals of teaching yoga. This course includes the study of asana pranayama, anatomy philosophy and etching methods. Sessions include teacher practice and study along with asana classes.
What makes our approach unique is that we link asanas to one another in such a way that teachers and students see a connection and aim of the class. Class is not just a series of unconnected asanas, but the building of kinesthetic awareness from one asana to another with a goal (physical, anatomical or subtle) in mind. The 300 hr advanced program adds an additional 42 asanas (which includes the major inversions.) to the 32 required for the 200hr program along with additional pranayamas. The aim of this advanced program is to provide the teacher with the practical skills and creativity to teach their class in such a way that students learn correct alignment, but also see the connectedness of the asanas to one another as well as the connectedness to the subtle body. We emphasize how to teach asana in such a way that it is physically rewarding, mindful, and spiritually uplifting. We provide the foundation for how to link these asanas physically, through the subtle body, and through the integration of the sutras.
