Whether you are a current student seeking to become a teacher, or a current yoga teacher seeking to discover new and effective ways of teaching, or a student ready to dive deeper into your personal practice, you will find an impactful experience in this Teacher Training program.
You will begin teaching early on in the training – a large emphasis will be placed on direct teaching with in-the-moment coaching and instant implementation with results! You'll engage in self-discovery techniques, journaling and an incredible supplemental reading list. In addition, you will assist live studio classes during training.
When you complete this training, not only will you be certified to teach, but you'll be equipped with the skills to teach an exhilerating, well rounded Power Vinyasa Yoga class. Learn the secrets to teaching "THE CLASS" that everyone is talking about.
This Training Includes:
Learning to design and teach a challenging Baptiste influenced power vinyasa yoga class.
Learning basic anatomy and physiology.
Learning the breakdown, alignment, modifications, and sequencing of postures.
Learning how to assist, evaluate bodies physically and emotionally and prevent injuries.
Learning Ujayii and Pranayama breathing techniques to incorporate into your class.
Learning Yoga’s roots or beginnings and compare/contrast Eastern and Western practices.
Learning the lifestyles and ethics for yoga teachers.
Learning effective presentation and communication skills to teach to different levels.
Learning the business of yoga and how to run your own studio. Fees:

Techniques, Training and Practice (TTP)
Topics in this category could include, but are not limited to: asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, chanting, mantra, meditation and other traditional yoga techniques. These hours must be a mix between: 1) analytical training in how to teach and practice the techniques, and 2) guided practice of the techniques themselves. Both areas must receive substantial emphasis.
Teaching Methodology (TM)
Topics in this category could include, but are not limited to: Communication skills such as group dynamics, time management, and the establishment of priorities and boundaries; How to address the specific needs of individuals and special populations, to the degree possible in a group setting; Principles of demonstration, observation, assisting and correcting; Teaching styles; Qualities of a teacher; The student learning process; Business aspects of teaching yoga (including marketing and legal).
Anatomy & Physiology (AP)
Topics in this category could include, but are not limited to: human physical anatomy and physiology (bodily systems, organs, etc.) and may also include energy anatomy and physiology (chakras, nadis, etc.). Includes both the study of anatomy and physiology along with its application to yoga practice (benefits, contraindications, healthy movement patterns, etc.).
Yoga Philosophy/LifeStyle Ethics (YPLE)
Topics in this category could include, but are not limited to: The study of yoga philosophies and traditional texts (such as the Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika or Bhagavad Gita); Yoga lifestyle, such as the precept of non-violence (ahimsa), and the concepts of dharma and karma; Ethics for yoga teachers, such as those involving teacher – student relationships and community; Understanding the value of teaching yoga as a service and being of service to others (seva).
Practicum
Topics in this category include: Practice teaching as the lead instructor (does not include assisting, observing or giving feedback); Receiving and giving feedback; Observing others teaching; Assisting students while someone else is teaching.
