Great head teachers and wonderful mentors, I felt informed both in the history and philosophy of yoga as well as in asana/physical practices and anatomy. The community and space itself is wonderfully supportive, I would certainly reccomend this training to anyone wanting to pursue becoming a yoga teacher in the nyc area! Jamuna and Brinda are the best!!!

I do not have enough kind words to fully express how grateful I am that the Bhakti Center was the institution I chose to complete my Yoga Teacher Training. I have yet to encounter another place that values traditional yogic philosophy and teaches it as equally important as the asana practice itself. This program is deeply rooted in devotion, integrity, and community, and it continually invited me to return to yoga as a living practice of the heart. The training is longer than a typical 200-hour program, spread over eight months, allowing the material to be fully absorbed and honored, while also giving practitioners time to remain actively engaged in their own material realities. This extended time made space for real integration—offering the opportunity to take the teachings to heart, undergo genuine personal transformation, and learn how to extend that practice responsibly to others. The instructors are comprehensive and compassionate, consistently offering unwavering support, and the mentor program is truly invaluable. I completed this training not only with the knowledge and tools to lead a safe, thoughtful practice grounded in sacred traditions, but also with a renewed sense of purpose, a spiritual community, and a place that truly feels like home.
