As yoga grows in popularity, students and studios will require qualified teachers with professional training.   This comprehensive course of study is designed to help you systematically build knowledge and develop the skills that you need to be at the top of the yoga profession.

Triad Yoga’s 200 Hour Teacher Certification Program is a Yoga Alliance Registered School, which means that this program meets their required standards.  Upon your completion of the program, you can register with Yoga Alliance and establish yourself as a Registered Yoga Teacher, qualified to lead safe, instructional, and inspirational classes in your community.

The program curriculum guides you to be able to skillfully teach asana and pranayama, lead students in meditations, and understand anatomy of the physical and energetic bodies.

This in-depth 200 hour training also includes:

How to observe and understand students’ bodies Principles of adjusting and modifying yoga postures

How to plan and sequence yoga classes

How to teach specialized classes addressing restorative postures, prenatal, physical challenges and the elderly

Terry Brown, E-RYT 500, program director of The Triad Yoga Teacher Certification Programs and co-owner of The Triad Yoga Institute, offers over 30 years of experience in his teaching of yoga. Triad Yoga’s 200 Hour Certification Program is now entering its 15th year of educating and training yoga instructors.

Triad Yoga's 300 Hour Teacher Certification Program is a two year program designed for yoga teachers ready to deepen their personal practice and teaching of yoga.  This 2 year program is designed to be fun, informative, challenging, and transformative, utilizing a flexible module format so that graduates of 200 hour teacher training programs can begin at any time. Although it can be completed in two years, one can work at their own reasonable pace and complete the program over the course of three or four years.

Over two years, there are a total of 6 modules, 2 teaching skills workshops, and two 5 day intermediate intensives. The program also includes reading assignments and valuable time assisting the program director in classes and workshops. Three additional guest faculty modules and a special all-day class on refining teaching skills are offered as well. The guest faculty includes Elise Browning Miller (Scoliosis and Back Care), Nicolai Bachman (Ayurveda, Yogic Philosophy, and Sanskrit Language). At the end of the program, students will have the opportunity to design and teach a workshop class as their final assessment.
