Yoga provides us with an opportunity to get to know ourselves from the inside out. Society teaches us to live externally, while yoga teaches us to live internally. It’s what makes exploring the teachings so profound. While teachers in training will learn how to teach yoga poses and sequences, this training focuses on teaching yoga students. Teaching others begins with our own personal, internal integrity, which is why we place great importance on studying yoga’s code of ethics first. Coursework includes yoga humanities, in-depth instruction on teaching postures, and sequencing classes. Great emphasis is placed on ethics, anatomy, physiology, and the meditative quality of this ancient yet timeless practice.
Learn in a supportive environment with ongoing mentoring opportunities for graduates. Principles of movement, alignment, and biomechanics will be taught. Yet mostly, students will learn about calming their minds and being good to themselves through yoga -- and how to help others do the same. Small student/teacher ratio. Great YTT program with very experienced, dedicated, lovely teachers. The teachers work hard to continue to evolve the program to make it better each time.
I really enjoyed my yoga teacher training. It gave me a strong foundation in the fundamentals, especially with its focus on functional alignment, which helped me understand how to guide students safely and adapt poses to different bodies. The program was comprehensive, blending both the physical and philosophical aspects of yoga, and what stood out most was how it prepared us to start teaching right away with confidence. The teachers were incredibly knowledgeable and always available for support or questions, which made the experience feel personal and encouraging. It was also such a valuable experience to learn from guest teachers, many of whom were and are teachers of our teachers which added even more depth and wisdom to the training.
