About our upcoming YTT:
***
Does a 200-hour course provide you with the tools to teach? We think so, but you have to put in the time.
This is a 200-hour+ training based on a progressive approach to Ashtanga vinyasa yoga. The program aims to support you to become a skillful yoga teacher, as well as to deepen your personal practice -fostering self-awareness, community and compassion towards self and others. This program is approved by Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level; however, by the hours this program will be closer to a 400-hour commitment.
Throughout the course we will explore the principles of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Method, Yoga History and Philosophy, Functional Anatomy, the art of hands-on assists, as well as best practices and techniques to facilitate yoga classes. The content will be covered by the lead trainers, supported by expert guest teachers, to foster a learning community in which we all grow together.
This course is not a typical Yoga Teacher Training, it is intended to prepare you to support students making their foray into the Ashtanga Vinyasa Method. The practice component will be a large part of the training and is included from March 1st throughout the duration of the training.
If you do not have a prior Ashtanga Mysore Practice of at least 6 months, you must begin practice with us in January in order to attend this training.
