Shala Santosha Yoga and Wellness offers a comprehensive well-rounded in depth Yoga teacher training, online and in person, mentorship and Apprenticeship program to Aspiring Yoga Student , established yoga teachers, practitioner looking to deepen their practice, understanding and teacher-ship through an Immersion program. This program is designed in accordance to meet and exceed the minimum hours of 200 Hour requirements for registration with Yoga Alliance. After successfully completing the program, one will be able to be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance upon meeting all the prerequisites, completion of all program modules and training, ethics, assignments and upload a certificate of completion as RYT 200hr .
All the modules taught meet and exceed yoga alliance requirements. The comprehensive course and programs includes in depth knowledge, experience, hands on with Physical postures, Practicum , Asanas, emphasis to Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Classical 8 limbs Yoga method. Holistic approach to Methodology (Adjustments & Theory), Safe and appropriate teachings, principles and ethics. Purification Breathing practice, Pranayama and Meditation, Yoga Philosophy, Sutras, Mantras, Sanskrit and Functional Anatomy, Physiology, Ethics and Lifestyle.
The Pranayama classes cover various techniques like Ujjayi, Nadi Shodhana, Kapalbhati, Bhastrika, Shithali, Shithkari, four purification breathing practices. The asana physical practice is vinyasa, physically energetic, breath and movement as one as it is ashtanga vinyasa yoga focused. Daily Self practice in the Mysore Style and Led guided practice will be experienced as taught in the traditional teaching, There are two physical practices daily during the training.
It is a transformational experience that helps to develop a firm foundation, principles and inner discipline. The Prerequisite for this course is one who is serious, and committed to an establish regular yoga practice, familiar with the ashtanga yoga method of at least 1-3 years practice and study with a teacher. Other forms of yoga such as Hatha, Flow, Power, Vinyasa, Iyengar are also welcome. Sincere desire to learn and commitment to attend all the classes and training. Completion of skills, assessments, studies, homework, attendance and practicum hours.
