The Essential Yoga Therapy Teacher Training offers an in-depth program rooted in the viniyoga principles of breath and movement combined with Iyengar alignment and use of props and steeped in the classical philosophy of yoga. The Advanced Studies takes students through a personal, experiential journey linking asana with pranayama, meditation and vedic chanting of the yoga sutras. The course engages students in deep contemplation and discussion of how to live yoga off the mat and utilize these teachings to transform the mind. The second half of the training cultivates advanced teaching skills through the understanding of how to adapt asana, breath, use of mantra and meditation to appropriately support the needs of any individual or group class. This training is designed for RYT200's who want to deepen their skill set and are interested in a more adaptive approach to teaching. Robin Rothenberg draws from her vast experience in adaptive yoga, functional anatomy and study of the sutras to create a very intimate sangha where students mature together personally as well as professionally. Limited to 10 students. Located in Fall City, outside Seattle, Washington.

Essential Yoga Therapy school provides a thorough and supportive education to excel as a yoga teacher. The curriculum includes personal experiential learning as well as a high level of competency training for appropriate sequencing principles, adaptations for various levels of abilities, yoga philosophy, and the many modes of yoga practices (mudras, mantras, pranayama, meditation etc.) to address all the koshas. Personal mentorship is a highlight of the program that guides students through the requirements for better understanding and quality of work. I highly recommend this school for a very cohesive and advanced level of training.
Highly skilled trainers and teachers including a wide variety of experiential learning settings from essays, quizzes, case study presentations to student teaching. EYT also has an infrastructure of support in place through mentors, mentor assistants, small groups and the larger cohort. I'm completing this training with a depth of knowledge and a confidence of application with the tools of yoga!
