Yoga is not a new concept in today’s world but it’s right practice is unknown to most people. Many understate Yoga to just Asanas, but in reality Yoga means Samadhi  or State of mind through which one can reach the level of supreme soul .

Ashtanga Yoga consists of eight paths to achieving Higher level of Human being. The System of Ashtanga Yoga was founded  by the Great Sage Maharshi  Patanjali. He took Yoga beyond religion. Yoga is an art of living and a Pure Spiritual Science.

The main Purpose of “Ashtanga Yoga Nepal” is to preserve Yoga in its pure  form. We are teaching Yoga on the basis of Yoga Sutras. Without Yama and Niyama ( ethical rules of Yogas), Asanas alone cannot help people reach the level of  Mindfulness.

Rupak Khadka (Yogi Yam) is the Founder  of Ashtanga Yoga Nepal and has been a yogi for over 14 years. I’d like to suggest that the school offer more support in teaching skills for new instructors—especially for slim female teachers who may find it challenging to guide students physically larger than themselves. With better techniques and strategies, they can assist students more effectively and confidently, without relying on physical strength alone.
