About this retreat
Yoga East's teacher training focuses on providing new yoga teachers with a solid foundation in the fundamentals of traditional hatha yoga including study of asanas, pranayama, bandhas, mudras, anatomy of yoga, and history, theory and philosophy of yoga. We show you how to safely teach all kinds of students including seniors, pregnant women, people who are very stiff or very flexible. We don't want to turn out "cookie cutter" yoga teachers. Instead, we help you to find your own unique teaching voice and style, and inspire your practice and your life.

What students say
Yoga East holds a very special place in my heart and feels truly sacred to me. The space, the teachers, and the way yoga is offered here carry a depth that goes beyond physical practice. Each session feels accurately and thoughtfully guided, with genuine care and respect for where every student is in their journey. What I have found at Yoga East is deeply transformative, and every time I come I leave feeling grounded and lighter. Thank you, Laura, Susan Reid and all the wonderful teachers and students of Yoga East who continue to help me learn and support this beautiful path. Truly grateful to this community 🙏
