About this retreat

Karen Cutrona is the founder and Director of UbU Yoga & Fitness LLC, a traveling Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance. She offers yoga classes 200-hour YTT, Advanced 300-hour YTT, and YACEP workshops for credentialed yoga teachers and clients.

Because Karen's YTT programs maintain small student/trainer ratios, they are tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of her students. Some enter training to deepen their personal practice, some to offer yoga classes at studios, schools, and to the community; some to more fully understand the mind, body, spirit connection yoga promotes... Along with learning to become an empowering yoga teacher, Karen hopes that her YTT programs will have a lifelong impact on the well being of her students beyond the mat.

UbU Yoga & Fitness evolved from Karen's ongoing passion for yoga teaching and training. Karen founded Blue Moon Yoga & Fitness, Inc. in Ormond Beach, FL in 2009 and owned and operated this large community yoga studio until 2013 when life inspired her to return to the Midwest.

Karen is known for creating unique body-sculpting yoga classes and creative vinyasa flow sequences. She embraces Kripalu (Eastern) and Power Yoga (Western) traditions from her rich training background and applies the theory of "challenge and ease" to all yoga class varieties. Karen's training style is fun, passionate, and focused on you becoming a better you by strengthening the body through asana practice, challenging the mind through yoga methodology, and growing the spirit of her trainees by tapping into their wellspring for life. This, in turn, fuels the trainee's ability to guide challenging, engaging, and inspiring yoga classes.
