The Shala School of Yoga

About this retreat

The Shala School of Yoga is a teacher training school that organically formed from our yoga studio - one of the oldest schools in London with some of the country's most knowledgable and experienced teachers teaching for us.

Our 200-hour teacher training programme brings together some of the UK’s most well respected and inspirational teachers to offer a transformational Level 1 200-hour
foundation course. The exceptional teaching faculty includes Gingi Lee, Melanie Cooper, Kath Roberts, Jennie Wadsten, Norman Blair, Ruth Westoby and Dr Matthew Clark. Unique features of the training include ample practical teaching practice which bridges the gap between students learning and going out into the world of teaching. Students can then go on to study via our flexible modular based 300-hour level 2 programme. Some of the hours can be accrued virtually and in the students' own time to be able to make this course accessible to those who are not located in and around London.

Described by our graduates as transformational, life-changing and mind-blowing, the teacher training programme offers a diverse, carefully crafted and flexible course set up to shape a new generation of skilled and authentic teachers.
