About this retreat
The HEART of YOGA and ART TEACHER TRAINING offers an artful practice exploring the true meaning of yoga, a connection between body, mind and heart, thinking feeling and willing.
Learning asana and its alignments is like learning the letters of the alphabet when it comes to practicing yoga. Teaching and practicing yoga is like writing an uplifting story, singing a song, or painting a painting. When asana is infused with meaning and intention, it becomes an artful experience. And, as with any art, the student learns the craft from the teacher, in order to become an artist her/himself.
In this program in not only gift to your future students but also to oneself. You learn how to teach a solid, inspiring class, create an asana in alignment, offer proper instructions, communicate well with your students, become a graceful presence in your class, confident and skillful, become a knowledgeable teacher. Your classes will be well rounded, well planned, nourishing both the teacher and the student.
Teaching and a practice of yoga makes space in our lives for more peacefulness, centeredness, clarity and joy. We become more aware of our inner beauty and our shadows. From this place of knowledge, we make life affirming choices in our lives.
The Heart of Yoga and Art Teacher Training was inspired by request from my students. This is a small semi private program. Times and dates are arranged by the needs of the participants. Training can run anywhere from one month to six months, depending on the group, or an individual. Please feel free to inquire. Payment plans are available. I am an experienced yoga instructor, a painter, an art teacher living in New York City, and I look forward to hearing from you.

What students say
The experience of the course was empowering and unforgettable. It exposed me to a spiritual world in where I had been a skeptic for years, the course has triggered a significant change in me, both professionally and in my personal life. Gosha demonstrated extensive professionalism and knowledge in the subjects taught. She was attentive to my needs, escorted me all along the way, according to my pace, with dedication and care while giving constructive criticism and positive reinforcement, she has provided a pleasant learning environment. Gosha encouraged me to continue with my self-learning, to perform self-reflection and to delve into topics that I find interesting or need to improve. I highly recommend ‘The Heart of Yoga and Art’ for everyone who is interested in deepening their Yoga practice and skills and to bring other people into to the wonderful world of Yoga as a teacher.
Taking the teacher training with Gosha was a life changing experience for me. Gosha has created a well balanced program that leads you in a super sensitive and professional way to really become a teacher, to be able to stand in front of a group and "just teach" :). Her extensive knowledge and vast experience, together with the kind and loving person she is created a magical transformation both mentally and professionally. Combining art into the training adds an interesting experience that creates a better understanding of topics discussed through painting. I highly recommend this program to anyone who is interested becoming a Yoga Teacher! Thank you :)
