About this retreat
Samavaya is a dedicated Yoga Teacher Training and Education Center that provides unique, specialized programs for diverse individuals seeking to deepen their knowledge and understanding of sadhana and practices applicable to each person's spiritual journey. We offer many educational paths that explore various schools of yoga and spirituality, prominently featuring the core Shad Dharsana philosophies: Nyaya, which emphasizes logic and epistemology; Vaishishika, focusing on atomism and the nature of reality; Vedanta, exploring the nature of the self and the ultimate truth; Sankhya, which provides a dualistic framework for understanding existence; Mimamsa, emphasizing ritual and ethical considerations; Hatha, Ashtanga and Vinyasa Teacher Training; and education in Jnana, Bhakti, and Karma Yog. All of our educational programs promote the union of body, mind, and spirit. At Samavaya, we will support you in determining your chosen path and provide the tools and knowledge to continue your journey with confidence and independence. The relationships built during your stay with us will continue beyond the course structure, providing support and guidance within a larger community.
Our organization is deeply committed to preserving the authenticity and integrity of ancient Indian spiritual traditions while simultaneously ensuring that our teaching methods remain adaptable and relevant to contemporary learners. We do not confine ourselves to rigid dogma; instead, we draw upon the rich wisdom embedded within these age-old traditions, engaging in teachings that resonate with today’s students and can be practically applied to their lives.
The overarching goal of Samavaya is to infuse goodness into the world. We aspire to prepare our students to interact meaningfully with society, fostering a spirit of love, compassion, and understanding in their relationships with others. Our mission is to offer diverse paths that cater to the spiritual aspirations of individuals seeking a more profound understanding of the Self and the intricacies of life.
