About this retreat
Functional Yoga Integrated (FYI) is a 300hr Programme open to all 200hr YTT graduates, irrespective of whether they have any grounding in functional yoga or not. Grounded in the functional curriculum of Paul Grilley (Founder of Yin Yoga), FYI is composed of two compulsory 100hr modules, and a third module which can be designed by each trainee according to their specific interests.
The first module in FYI is The Art of Yin, followed by The Art of Yang. The third module is called The Art of Teaching. Trainees complete each module separately, and are awarded their 300hr certification upon successful completion of all three modules.
With deep respect for my lineage and equipped with a visionary approach to curriculum design that I bring from my first career in education, my trainings aim to advance functional yoga into a more integrative, somatically intelligent, and therapeutically potent direction.
My teaching bridges fascia science, contemplative practice, and embodied psychospiritual resilience. Through my FATE methodology (Feeling At The Edge), I invite students and teachers alike into an experience of yoga that is person-centred, anatomically informed, emotionally attuned, and growth-facilitating.
Ultimately, both the Grace Tempany and the FATE methodologies challenge the reductive binary between function and feeling, and reposition the mat as a space for both inquiry and integration.
