Center For Natural Living

About this retreat

Center for Natural Living, offers 200 and 300 hour yoga teacher trainings.

In 2010 Irum found herself in the middle of the rainforest of Costa Rica. There she taught yoga to the guests, volunteers, and workers of Rancho Margot.

In 2011 the school was registered with Yoga Alliance. Many who practiced with Irum, in and out of the classroom of the rainforest, returned to take their training and are now yoga teachers.

Irum follows the lineage of the Himalayan tradition, furthering her own training at the Himalayan Institute.

Offering a combination of online, and in-person immersion trainings which are currently being offered in Costa Rica. The teachers provide and train you in the fundamentals of yoga, and take you to the advanced learning of techniques, methodology, the subtle and structural anatomy, yoga philosophy and lifestyle. Our trainees learn to guide a yoga practice with awareness, of “Live the Yoga” Philosophy.

Through out this training you will engage in a physical practice, learn the structural and energetic techniques of postures and form, learn to meditate, study anatomy yoga asanas, study yoga philosophy, the lineage of Hatha and Raja yoga and have thought provoking discussions. Discussion of the sutras, the Yamas and the Niyamas is part of the curriculum. Through daily discourse, and journalling, each student is encouraged to be open to receive their inner light. To explore who they believe they are.

During the yoga training our students begin to discover the meaning of the true Self. They begin to bring awareness to the layers of conditionings and the Samskaras. The transformation leaves each person more energized, confident and ready to follow an inner calling.

You will learn how to teach, how to guide and share your yoga practice. We encourage our teacher trainees to have practiced yoga for a couple of years. This experience helps to build your teacher skills on the foundation of your own practice. If you have not been a regular practitioner of yoga, we will direct you to online classes offered by our teachers to help prepare you for the training.
